Pianist Barbara Wilkinson brings a wealth of choral and vocal experience to the NBC in her role as accompanist. A North Carolina native, Ms. Wilkinson has played for choirs nationwide and abroad under numerous batons including that of the late Paul Salamunovich. In demand as a vocal coach and collaborative pianist in the DC area, Ms. Wilkinson has been associated with the Washington National Opera’s Opera Institute, The Washington Conservatory of Music, and American University. Ms. Wilkinson serves as music director for CommUnity on the Hill Church and founded the female vocal ensemble, Senza Nome.

 

 

A classically trained pianist, Ms. Wilkinson holds degrees in piano performance from the University of NC Greensboro and University of Michigan. Not to be underestimated is the joy she finds teaching voice and piano to all ages from her private studio in Chevy Chase, DC.
